food manufacturer’s recommended feedings. Overfeeding prevents proper development of bones and soft tissue.
• Here’s how to tell if your dog is overweight: Feel for your dog’s ribs with the palm of your hand moving from front to back.
Can you feel the bones with just a pinch of fat and muscle? If you can’t, chances are that your pet is overweight.
Ask your veterinarian to assess your dog for you and recommend a proper diet.
